For games, apps & software
Marketing for teams who build great software and need people to find it.
You've shipped something people would love. The hard part now isn't the product, it's growth: getting found, getting installs, and turning first-time users into a base that sticks. That's the part I run.
The problem
Great product. Flat growth.
Small studios and dev teams pour everything into the build, then marketing gets whatever's left, usually a launch-day push and not much after. The result is a product that deserves an audience but never quite finds one. Traffic is thin, the email list is an afterthought, and nobody really owns the growth side.
I've spent years inside pro-audio software marketing: scaling an email list past 170k, growing a following past 50k, running launches, and building the repeatable systems that keep growth going long after launch week. I do that for teams like yours, without the cost of a full-time hire.
What I run for you
The growth side, handled.
Email & lifecycle
Turn installs and sign-ups into a list you own. Welcome flows, launch sequences, win-backs, and campaigns players and users actually open.
SEO & content
Get found by the people searching for what you make. Keyword-led content, written to rank and to be read, never to hit a word count.
Launch campaigns
Brief, build, send, measure. A proper launch that builds momentum before release and keeps it going after, across email, content and social.
Landing pages & sites
Pages that convert a click into an install or a sign-up. Webflow, WordPress or Wix, designed and built to fit your product.
Why me
I speak both languages.
I'm a marketer and a maker: an electronic music producer, a guitarist, and a PhD student in music production. I understand creative and technical products from the inside, and I've marketed software to developers, musicians and creators for years. You get in-house-level experience on a freelance basis, and someone who actually gets what you've built.
Based in the North West of England, I work with UK studios and remote teams.
"JJ's real talent lies in understanding and speaking the audience's language, which made every piece of content he created, from emails and blogs to social posts and videos, resonate."
